We encourage all eligible tradesmen to join our association and enjoy the benefits. Whether it is galloping, harness racing or pleasure horses, farriers play an important role in the well-being and general health and happiness of the horse. With this increase in responsibility comes an expectation that we will conduct ourselves professionally. As a group of like minded people we can achieve this by showing the horse world that we take our job seriously and have great pride in what we do. Below are some of the benefits of membership

To be eligible you will need to be Government Accredited in any state or territory in Australia. If you are recognised by a government body in another country that can be looked at as well. Membership is $100 per annum payable on the 1st August each year. Once you become a member you will receive the following sticker.
By displaying this membership sticker, you will be recognised as an accredited professional who prides himself in providing quality service and commitment to his trade. This instant recognition will hopefully encourage farriers to join the association, and those who are not yet eligible, to go through the necessary procedures to gain government accreditation. If you are not government accredited, please contact us and we will offer you encouragement and advice on how to gain the necessary accreditation.
